About the Role
Scope of Role:
• Reports to: Grants & Research Associate
• Working Hours: Part-time, flexible
• Compensation: Volunteer/Unpaid
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the identification and research of global grants focused on technology, policy, think tanks, and nonprofit sectors.
• Help build and maintain a database of potential funders, including collaboration opportunities with businesses.
• Support the development and implementation of the organization’s fundraising strategy.
• Work closely with the Grants & Research Associate to align fundraising efforts with IWIB4AIE’s strategic goals.
Requirements
Requirements for a Grants and Fundraising Associate:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Interest in nonprofit organizations and grant funding
Keen interest in AI ethics, diversity, and inclusion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Desirable:
Currently studying or recently graduated in AI, policy, politics, technology, or a related field.
Strong research and organizational skills.
Track record in fundraising and or grants writing.

This entry-level position is pivotal in supporting the organisation’s growth by identifying tech and policy-focused grants, creating a comprehensive database, and aiding the fundraising strategy.
